In this paper there are described the principal characteristics that an emulsion must have, conventional and modified, for his employment in roads. The bituminous emulsions are formulated on the basis of the time of rupture: rapid, medium and slow setting. This characteristic defines his field of application but other characteristics as the viscosity, stability to the storage or the charge of the particle they define the conventional parameters for his employment
