The general aim of the project SMA is the study of the bituminous mixes type SMA to be able to know in depth his behavior and be able to adapt them to his employment in Spain.
In addition, in this ambitious project financed by CDTI, he presents specific aims of improvement of the mixtures type conventional SMA: to increase the permanence, to reduce the emission making these mixtures to temperatures lower than the conventional ones, to diminish the sonorous impact produced by the noise of tread and to use recycled material proceeding from the fresado of ancient pavements. The mixtures SMA under these concepts, are named X-SMA.
In this technical meeting they are going to present the principal results obtained in this project of investigation that has had three years of duration.
