Technical Meeting on Constructive Elements Descontaminantes applied on Infrastructures
Description:
The photocatalysis departs from the natural beginning of decontamination of the own nature and eliminates the habitual pollutants in the atmosphere, by means of a process of oxidation activated by the solar power.
By means of the photocatalysis it is possible to eliminate most of the present pollutants in the urban zones: NOx, SOx, organic volatile compounds (VOCs), CO, metil mercaptano, formaldehyde, organic compounds clorados, compounds poli aromatic.
The materials of construction treated with a photocatalyst eliminate especially the particles NOx that are produced by the vehicles, the industry and the production of energy.
One of the principal missions of the AIF is to create the "Photocatalytic Islands" in the big Spanish cities to lower the levels of urban pollution. We want to clean the air that we we all breathe to improve the quality of our lives and to protect the environment.
