Breixo Gómez Mejide
Biography
MS Civil Engineer, University of A Coruña (Spain). After different research stays in Singapore and the UK, he completed his PhD in Civil Engineering in 2015 receiving the Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2016 for his dissertation on the sustainable application of recycled Construction and Demolition Waste as aggregate in Cold Asphalt Mixtures (CAM). Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham in the area of self-healing bituminous mixtures and supervisor of 4 PhD thesis. In 2018 he joined EAPA (the European Asphalt Pavement Association) as Technical Director, where he is responsible for technical issues, innovation, standardisation and communication.
