National Symposium on Pavements (SNF2018)

After a long period of economic crisis and without high-level technical meetings on pavements, the Technical Association of Roads has made the commitment to take up this task and promote a regular celebration of a National Symposium where the Spanish technical and scientific community can share their progress and proposals in this area.

The National Pavements Symposium 2018 (SNF 2018) seeks to be the first of a long series and has chosen as a motto a unifying message for all those who in some way are related to the world of pavements and the road: On the road to a circular economy.

This motto represents the attractive of the unknown: take a different path without knowing where it will lead us to; the attractive of challenges: transform our linear way of consumption (extract, manufacture, use and eliminate) to a circular model (extract, manufacture, consume, share, repair, value, reuse); and the attractive of the certainty of belonging to a group, as this new task will need the collaborative participation of all of us, focusing both on the importance of each and every little individual piece, and the greatness of the whole.
