Description:
The two main objectives of the BattleCO2 Project consisted in verification in a pilot plant on scale of the viability of using biomass as a fuel in the bituminous mixtures manufacturing process, resulting in a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), and development of product category rules and environmental product declarations as support elements in the use of green procurement.
Both objectives have been achieved with the obtention of a GHG reduction of 80% and certification by Environdec of the product category rules (UN CPC 1533 & 3794).
