La Asociación Mexicana del Asfalto (AMAAC, the Mexican Pavement Association) would like to extend its most cordial invitation for the International Pavement Seminar on Challenges in the preservation of asphalt pavements, from 4 to 6 October at the Real Inn hotel at Tijuana, Baja California. AMAAC feels that an effort needs to be made to show, disseminate and achieve practical implementation onto Mexican paving engineering of state-of-the-art technology, to achieve sustained and sustainable short term projects. This International Seminar is intented both for government officials and managers of private operators that are responsible for conservation and development of roads, for technical staff involved in the planning, programming, execution and supervision of road works, for university lecturers, investigators and engineering students who have special interest in going further into the current sustained and sustainable recycling technologies and accelerated tests as required for projects in the asphalt industry. For this reason, we welcome the participation of internationally renowned speakers who will offer master lectures on these issues to show us how to improve conceptualization and development of current projects as far as preservation of asphalt pavement is concerned.
