Biography

Software Engineer, University of Malaga. Lecturer at the University of Malaga, Department of Computer Languages and Science, Special Services. During more than 13 years of lecturing activities, he has been teacher at the Higher School of Industrial Engineering (E.T.S.I.) Computer Sciences, E.T.S.I Telecommunication, E.T.S.I. Industrial, University School of Business Studies, Management and Public Administration. Supervising professor at the Spanish National University of Distance Education of Malaga on leave of absence.
He has been lead investigator in national R&D projects related to new technologies, such as Interactive Digital Television or Recommendation Systems, and he has published articles for  numerous international congresses and magazines, besides leading over 20 final dissertations. Director and Secretary of several summer courses and lecturer of master’s degree related to mobile communications and real estate studies. He has received national and international awards for his projects on mobile applications and on digital television and he owns a patent on management of sports teams.
Since 2011 Manager of the municipal centre of computer sciences at the Malaga City Council offering, with a team of more than 120 people, technological assistance to the municipal corporation (computer sciences and telecommunications), promoting Open Government projects (transparency, open data, citizen participation), electronic management, intelligent cities or city cartography. During this time he has contributed to more than 10 awards and acknowledgements on these issues for the Malaga City Council.
