Biography

Doctorate in Civil Engineering

• Director of IECA Tecnología (Spanish institute of cement and its applications) and Chairman of the department of communication at ATC (Spanish technical road association)
• Key Speaker at 3 Spanish national pavement congresses and participation in more than one hundred congresses and technical seminars
• Participation in the development of the Spanish pavement standard
• Editor and co-author of several handbooks on non-site recycled pavements with cement, pavements with layers modified with cement, concrete pavements for low traffic intensity and concrete for rural and urban roads, among other publications
• Editor of numerous projects and consultant in more than 700 road works
• Associate profesor for several courses. Participation in numerous innovation programmes such as ECOLABEL, or European labelling of sustainable roads; MERLIN regarding use of agglomerate pavers in rehabilitation with thin layers of compact cement; development of cement with high initital resistance that allow for immediate opening to traffic, etc.
